我常接到英文email，信末寫著：Please kindly give me a reply （請回覆） 翻譯社
良多人用Kindly 這個字，以為如許更虛心，實際上是誤解。
kindly並不是很客套 翻譯說法。《朗文高級辭典》kindly 條的诠釋是： 「Kindly 意思是請，但經常表示，說話的人感覺被打攪 翻譯時候用的。」
Longman exam dictionary:Kindly is a word which means please 翻譯公司 but is used by the speaker when he is annoyed (so it is used 'ironically', in a sense)
英語學者John Bremner提到 kindly:"Kindly" is stronger and more formal than "please" and tends to connote the idea of "Do this -- or else" （ Kindly 比 please語氣強，更正式，常常帶「你要如許做─ ─不然」寄義） 翻譯社
kindly 有 please 的意思，兩字沒必要並用； kindly有不滿意味，例如：。-> 翻譯社|,-> 翻譯公司|的-> 翻譯Kindly turn the radio down while I am working. （我在工作，請你把收音機調小聲一點）。這一句的kindly是較強烈的要求。
要客客套氣的說「請」，please 比 kindly 簡單而天然 翻譯社
Current English Usage 說 ： Do not use "kindly" in requests where "please" will do （提出要求，可以說please ,就不要說 kindly ）。
Kindly和please不是沒有互用的時候，舉例以下：
（ 1 ） Kindly shut the door（ 請關上門 ） 。
（ 2 ） Would you kindly leave me alone （ 請不要打攪我） 翻譯社
第一句 翻譯kindly可用please取代 ， 第二句 翻譯 kindly 則有不滿寄義，不宜改 為 please 。
